Chef Apprentice position available

The Plough Shiplake is pleased to announce we have an opening for a Commis Chef Apprenticeship, in partnership with Reading College (Active Learning). Our current apprentice will be finishing in November and we would love to continue fostering the joy and passion of being a chef with another student.

Commis Chef Apprenticeship Standard - Reading College 

£8.60 per hour

Paid for 8 hours of college per week

Support for recipe records, development and reporting

Flexible shifts over our kitchen working hours of Wednesday - Thursday 9am - 9pm, Friday and Saturday 9am - 10pm and Sunday 10am - 7pm.

Hospitality has changed so much since Covid. The understanding of work/ life balance continues to improve and working in a kitchen can be a great environment for a young person that likes to stay busy and as a passion for food.
